One of my favourites in days of college cash crunch, the JBL C50HI make for a great pair of wired earbuds under ₹500. They have decent build quality, which with a little bit of care will last a long time. As for the sound signature, as I mentioned in the introduction, it is going to be bass heavy. Although, despite coming from JBL, and having the label of JBL Signature Sound attached to their name, the bass response of these earbuds is fairly balanced, with the bass not sounding as muddy as some other offerings.

Infinity By Harman Zip 100 slot in at number two in this list, and for a good reason. They were also one of the earbuds I used to drive daily when in college, and they served me well. However, their bass response was much muddier than that of the C50HI, which ate into the mids. However, if you are someone who loves a lot of bass in the music or content that you consume, then you’ll love them. These earbuds have a tangle-resistant flat cable, and the in-line controls are also decent.
