Beyblade Burst QuadDrive: Breaks all the expectations in a good way

The latest addition to Hasbro’s Beyblade lineup in India, is the Beyblade Burst QuadDrive. Coming from a generation whose favourite pastime was to have Beyblade battles with their friends, every evening, it was nice to see a brand still trying to make them better than ever. But, when I opened up the package, the feeling that boomers get on the zoomer Reddit threads, hit me. On one hand, it was the joy of seeing one of my favourite toys back in action, and on the other, it was the visible confusion that ensued when I tried assembling the Beyblade.

Once it was put together, the fun began. We had gotten two sets of the toy delivered to us which made things even more fun. We tried all the variations of the tip and metal ring combinations that we could. I know people at Hasbro had two in mind - Core+ and Apex+ mode, but our resident engineer, Mithun, got creative with putting together his own little contraption. While all of us engaged in fierce competition, we had some, who admired the beauty of the intricate detailing on the face plate of these toys. The launcher had the same old feel, with a touch of innovation with the two-way launch options, but the string retained the quality and feel of the good old days. 

The Beyblade Burst QuadDrive comes with a variety of different parts that can be mixed and matched to create the perfect Beyblade for any battle. Players can experiment with different tip and metal ring combinations to find the best combination for their play style. Hasbro has included instructions for two modes - Core+ and Apex+ mode. But as I prefaced, players can get creative and put together their own combinations.

In addition to the customisable parts, the Beyblade Burst QuadDrive also features intricate detailing on the face plate of the toy. The launcher has a two-way launch option, allowing players to launch their Beyblades in different ways. The string on the launcher retains the quality and feel of the original Beyblades, making it easy for players to control their movement and build up dexterity or get back what they had lost..

Many might think that is a gift for kids, but trust me, if you buy it for a 90’s or a 00’s kid, who grew up watching and playing with Beyblades, they’d be equally happy with it! And, while you are at it, don’t forget the Beyblade Burst QuadDrive Beystadium, which adds to the overall experience.
