Oppo Reno 8: Pros and cons Pros: Gorgeous design, good display, Cameras Cons: Lacks powerful chipset, Little overpriced Oppo Reno 8: Description and verdict Oppo's latest flagships for India are just around the corner. The company is expected to launch the Reno 8 and Reno 8 Pro as part of this flagship series. The new camera-focused Reno series will be launching in India on July 18. The Reno 8 series will succeed the Reno 7 series. Interestingly, the phones will come to India after being launched in China earlier this year. In terms of specifications, the Reno 8 will be slightly underpowered when compared to the Reno 8 Pro. However, it will also sell at a much more affordable price point. The Oppo Reno 8 is expected to come with a 6.43-inch FHD+ AMOLED screen. The lights on the phone are expected to be kept on by a 4500mAh battery which will also come with support for 80W charging. It is also expected that the phone could sport the MediaTek Dimensity 1300 chipset and get a triple camera setup including a 50MP main camera and two 2MP sensors. On the front, we may see the same 32MP single camera. Overall, these specs should ensure that it is a competitive phone in the segment which has other powerful devices such as the OnePlus 9RT, and the Galaxy S21 FE. However, the biggest draw for the phone will be its design. If the previous generation Reno phones are anything to go by, this one too could end up being a real looker and possibly even the best in terms of design in the segment.
