The smartphone comes with a 6.5-inch full HD Plus Super AMOLED Infinity-O Display, quad rear camera setup, 32 MP selfie camera sensor , octa-core Exynos 9611 SoC, and runs on Android 10 based Samsung’s proprietary One UI. </span></p>

<p style="text-align: justify;"><strong>Design</strong></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">The smartphone has a 6.4-inch Infinity U Super AMOLED touchscreen display. The phone has a Full-HD+ (1080x2340 pixels) display and has an aspect ratio of 19.5:9. The phone has 8.9mm of thickness and weighs 191 grams. It is available in Ocean Blue, and Space Black colours. It has a Glass front, a plastic back, and a plastic frame. <span id="docs-internal-guid-5fe04152-7fff-2182-746a-845e5b852a11">The power and volume buttons can be found on the right side of the Galaxy M31. On the left side is the SIM tray, while the 3.5mm headphone jack, primary microphone, USB Type-C port, and speaker are placed on the bottom of the phone. <p style="text-align: justify;"><span id="docs-internal-guid-a23f4df0-7fff-7eae-570b-ba3bf3bbe3eb">As far as the cameras are concerned, the Samsung Galaxy M31 packs a quad rear camera setup which is an upgrade over the Galaxy M30 which houses a triple rear camera setup. </span>It has a 64-MP primary Samsung ISOCELL Bright GW1 sensor along with an f/1.8 lens.; a second 8 MP camera with an f/2.2 aperture; a third 5 MP sensor with an f/2.2 aperture and a fourth 5 MP sensor with an f/2.4 aperture. It sports a 32 MP camera on the front for selfies that supports 4K and slo-mo video recording. The phone has an LED flash, panorama, and HDR shot.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">The phone comes with Live Focus for an enhanced bokeh effect. The South Korean giant has also provided dedicated super steady mode, night mode, and super slo-mo (using interpolation). The Exynos 9611 processor comes with AI technology to offer the next-generation camera experiences. The front camera of the phone comes with Live Focus, which allows you to adjust bokeh intensity in real-time.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><strong>Performance</strong></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">The Samsung Galaxy M31 runs on the company’s proprietary One UI 2.0 based on Android 10. Under the hood, the phone has the Exynos 9611 SoC octa-core (4x2.3 GHz Cortex-A73 & 4x1.7 GHz Cortex-A53) which is similar to the Galaxy M30s which was launched last year. The phone comes with 6 GB of RAM and Mali-G72 MP3 GPU. The Galaxy M31 ships with One UI Core instead of the One UI, so you will not get features like Bixby and Bixby Home. Users won’t be able to download Samsung Pay from the Google Play Store.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><span id="docs-internal-guid-83662506-7fff-493a-b517-859ed11e35da">Samsung ships the new Galaxy M31 with OneUI 2.0 on top of Android 10 OS. The software is similar to the one found on the Galaxy S10 Lite smartphone. Samsung has preloaded the phone with a number of apps including Google apps, Candy Crush Saga, Netflix, Facebook, as well as Samsung My Galaxy and Samsung Shop.</span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><strong>Battery and Storage</strong></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">The smartphone has a mammoth 6000 mAh battery which the company claims can easily last for 2 days. Users will be able to have internet usage of up to 21 hours, talk time up to 48 hours, video play up to 26 hours, and music play time up to 119 hours, according to the company. It has support for 15W fast charging.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">The phone packs 64 GB of inbuilt storage that can be expanded via a microSD card slot. The Samsung Galaxy M31 is a dual-SIM (GSM and GSM) smartphone that accepts Nano-SIM and Nano-SIM cards.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">The smartphone will be powered by the Exynos 9611 octa-core SoC, coupled with 6 GB RAM and either 64 GB or 128 GB of onboard storage. Additionally, the internal memory of the phone can be expanded via a microSD card by up to 512 GB. It runs on Android 9 based company’s One UI 2.0.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">Connectivity options on the Samsung Galaxy M31 are Wi-Fi, 3G, GPS, USB Type-C, and 4G (with support for Band 40 used by some LTE networks in India). The phone has a 3.5mm headphone jack and supports dual sim with dual standby.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">The Exynos 9611 mobile processor is designed to offer artificial intelligence capabilities through a deep-learning technology, says Samsung. The vision image processing unit of the processor can analyse analogue signals of images and videos. It can identify the objects and environment within the scene, says the company leading to clearer images.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><strong>Technology</strong></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Samsung says the Exynos 9611 brings enhanced graphics processing performance. It has an Arm Mal G72 MP3 GPU with faster clock speed than its predecessor. The GPU is built on the 2nd generation of Bifrost architecture and supports the advanced APIs. The SoC comes with four Cortex-A73 cores with a clock speed of up to 2.3 GHz and four Cortex-A53 cores that run at up to 1.7 GHz speeds. </p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">The Exynos 9611 processor comes with an LTE modem and has an integrated modem that supports up to 600Mbps for downlink with 3CA and 150Mbps for uplink with 2CA. The Exynos 9611 features a 4-mode GNSS (Global Navigation Satellite System) receiver which offers GPS (Global Positioning System), GLONASS, BeiDou and Galileo.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><strong>Multimedia</strong></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">The phone has a loudspeaker and comes with a 3.5 mm headphone jack. It has RDS, and recording features. The phone has a USB 2.0, Type-C 1.0 reversible connector. </p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">Samsung Galaxy M31 is powered by Exynos 9611 chipset which is also used in M30s, A50s & A51.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">The M31 runs smoothly as long as you don’t try to switch apps and browse through the user interface too quickly. Apps mostly launch quickly, and since there’s 6GB of RAM on both the 64GB and 128GB storage variants, multitasking isn’t usually an issue.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Gaming performance is pretty good while playing Call of Duty and PubG mobile while setting normal graphics settings,the phone can stutter here and there when you initially load a game and start playing, but those stutters don’t show up after the first minute or two. It also didn’t have issues running well at the ultra frame rate setting in PubG mobile and games like Asphalt 9 also run fine but as the temperature of device increases you may face lag issues while gaming. I also noticed that 9611 isn’t great for the general user interface, but its Mali-G72 MP3 GPU handles popular gaming titles very well.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><strong>Write about the software of your review device:</strong></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Like every other Galaxy phone Samsung has launched in 2020, the Galaxy M31 runs Android 10 with One UI 2.0 out of the box.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">You don’t get features like the built-in screen recorder or even something as basic as Secure Folder. Samsung Pay and Samsung Pay Mini aren’t supported, either. Bixby is completely missing as well, except for Bixby Vision in the camera app.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Since the Galaxy M31 runs Android 10 out of the box, it will receive an update to Android 11 and Android 12 at some point. And on 27th May, Samsung released an update in which we got security patch of April 2020, this was released on April month but they rolled it back.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><strong>Write about the battery life of your review device:</strong></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Samsung Galaxy M31 is packed with a 6000 mAh battery, that's why Samsung also named it MegaMonster. M31 can last a really long time on a single charge. I always got a full day of battery life with heavy usage, and with light to not-too-heavy use, you won’t have to charge it until late evening the next day, atleast if you stick to mostly Wi-Fi. Generally LTE & Network fluctuations brings down battery life, but you can still get a full day out of it with fairly heavy use.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">M31 supports 15W fast charging, with such a big battery, faster charging speeds don’t matter that much. On comparison with other brands Samsung still need to struggle. On other hand we get full charge from 0 in approximately 2½ hours.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><strong>Write about the design and display of your device:</strong></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Samsung Galaxy M31 has a polycarbonate body that’s pretty much the same as the Galaxy M30s.M31 is packed with 6000 mAh battery still it is not much heavy compared to other phones. Due to polycarbonate back phone doesn’t feel very premium to hold.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">At the back, quad camera setup is housed inside a rectangular window in the upper left corner. There’s also a capacitive fingerprint sensor next to the cameras, which I still think is the best solution for fingerprint recognition on phones in place of on-screen & power button mounted fingerprint scanner. It has 3.5 mm jack, USB Type-C, primary mic & Speaker on bottom, while secondary mic is on top.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">The 6.4-inch Infinity-U Super AMOLED display which is excellent for this segment of the smartphone market, but it has Gorilla glass 3 which is quite old. It has wide viewing angles, vivid colors, deep blacks, and pretty good brightness levels that only fall short in the harshest of sunlight. It has an aspect ratio of 19.5:9 and screen-to-body ratio of 83.92%.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><strong>Your Smartphone's Camera Review</strong></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">M31 has 64MP rear camera, it takes 16MP photos in auto mode. Daytime performance is pretty good. There’s plenty of detail in the photos & good dynamic range. It supports 4K video recording, videos captured in daylight also look pretty good. But at night without night mode it can't perform well, in night mode Samsung did pretty good this time but still need to improve.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">The ultra-wide camera on the M31 is 8MP sensor same as M30s’ ultra-wide camera. It’s useful to capture a wider scene, but don’t expect to see any fine detail when you zoom in, especially at night.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">In case of macro camera Samsung tried to be smart they gave us 5MP macro camera but without auto-focus due to which it’s often difficult to understand exactly when the object is in focus, resulting in a few out of focus shots.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">For selfies, M31 has a 32MP (wide angle) camera & manages to capture nice photos in daytime. By default, you get 8MP photos, but you can switch to 21MP (normal mode) or 32MP (wide angle mode) if you like to see more details in your selfies. At night, detail is lost whether it’s an 8MP photo or a 32MP photo, it also supports 4K video recording.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><strong>Final Verdict..!!</strong></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Samsung Galaxy M31 is too much similar to Galaxy M30s with a macro camera, a higher-resolution main camera, more RAM on the base variant, and newer software out of the box.M31 is the phones whose performence will not disappoint you, camera performance is quite normal and battery backup is awesome (11+ hours on screen time) as it has 6000mAh battery M series main highlight. If you are Samsung fan then this is the best phone for you under the price segment of ₹20,000. But if you are a gamer then i suggest you to go for other options. And if you are a heavy user & a gamer like me who can compromise with the game graphics then this phone is the one which will survive in your hands.</p>

Hey i m not a technical person, my husband recommended this phone to me....its battery backup and camera are amazing features and price may be a bit high but its good as long battery backup is good and pics are crystal clear...look wise its light Weight and cool look

Great phone a little heavy in hand but good . One hand usage is difficult if u have small / medium fingers . You need long fingers to use by single hand . Battery charging takes time but it equally slow . Moderate usage u can use the mobile for 2 days . The back surface is a finger print magnet . I wouldnt advice to use this phone without cover . I m using this phone for office work so not much of gaming so cant comment on that .

I have been using this phone for last 7 days. I would be writing my review of this phone based on the experience
PROS
1. Best display in this price segment. If you are looking forward to spend around 20000 it the best phone with best display. Colors are just amazing on this phone.
2. Beast battery life. No doubt as mentioned it has 6000mah battery life which is enough to last more than a day on heavy usage. Mine generally lasts more than a day on heavy gaming, listening to music, watching YouTube videos. This phone is too good for a moderate user
3. Awesome sound quality. The sound quality is just too good even without earphones the sound quality is considerably good for a single speaker which the phone boasts of
4. Big screen size is also a plus
CONS
Although not many
1. Considering the price phone should have come with a gorilla 5 protection glass
2. I don't know why Samsung is not introducing snapdragon processor in its phones. People who have a budget of 20k generally expect a good processor
3. Not for PUBG enthusiasts. Although works fine on medium settings
People can consider this phone even if m31s has been launched the only difference is the screen size and it comes with a 8GB variant rest is all same

Samsung is my all time favorite brand and I never used any other brand. This phone is amazing in every terms !
