Tecno is launching the Phantom V Flip 5G on September 22: Specifications revealed

Tecno’s Phantom V Flip 5G is much awaited and we have a launch date now. Tecno has now confirmed that the new flip phone, the Tecno Phantom V Flip 5G will be released this month, globally. Tecno’s Phantom V Flip 5G is the next big launch from Tecno. Until now, the smartphone brand had not announced a release date. But the wait has now ended, the next flip phone from Tecno will be released on September 22.

The global launch event will take place in Singapore on September 22, 2023, at 12:30 PM IST and will be available on Amazon thereafter for the Indian market as well. As we wait for the launch, some key specs are circulating on the internet. Let’s take a look at what we know so far. 

Amazon has confirmed the launch of Tecno Phantom V Flip 5G and shows the phone with purple-coloured edges. Apart from that, tipster Paras Guglani took to X to share detailed specifications of the phone in question which is named “model number AD11”. As per the leak, the phone will be powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 1300 chipset and will run on Android 13 out of the box.

On the display front, we can expect to see a 6.9-inch foldable full HD+ AMOLED display offering a  20.5:9 aspect ratio, which will come along with a 1.32-inch AMOLED cover display. Speaking of cameras, this flip phone could possibly offer a 64-megapixel main camera which could be accompanied by a 13-megapixel ultra-wide-angle sensor. The phone could also carry a 32-megapixel selfie shooter. 

Now for the battery backup, we can expect the phone to be packed with a 4,000mAh battery which will come with fast charging support. As per the leaks, the phone could come in three colour variants; Film White, Periwinkle Purple, and Minimal Black.

Let’s talk about the price point now. The chatter on the internet suggests that the Tecno Phantom V Flip 5G could be priced at ₹50,000 in India. 

With this price point, will it become the cheapest flip phone in the market? We’ll have to wait for the official announcement to know the best.
